What is the the best approach for keyword matching in a new campaign and ad group.

Start with broad match then refine refine refine?

OR

include a broad, phrase and exact match for every keyword in the adgroup?

You might want to consider actually starting with phrase match and exact match for new campaigns. These should:

1. Convert better than broad match, thereby increasing your ROI.

2. Have higher click through rates (assuming you have written tight ad groups with relevant ad copy) which will increase your quality score and position.

After several weeks, if you more room to play with your profit margins, consider adding broad match terms but make sure you have a decent negative keyword list.

there are other sites where you can post on and have even better trafci. http://www.linkernel.com/ its more like a search place but really chose the sites they accept which makes them rare and have sites that yahoo and google dont they r growing fast and they got this option for free. at least for now. lets hope they dont grow too much .

Adwords and Adsense are a twins … both programs are from google
Adwords is a program that you pay google to display ads on other websites for your products (you need a website of course) so clicking on those ads will drive people and traffic to your website where they can read more about the product or service or what ever you have on your blog.
people use adsense on their website to display ads .. and they get paid when ever someone clicked on an add

What kind of keywords and ad copy in ppc can you use to market to manufacturers of electronics, furniture, baby products, furniture and home improvement products? This would be for large manufacturers, not SOHOs. Who is the decision maker at the manufacturer for selling products? Who decides who and how to sell overstocked inventory?

You can make money from adwords or any ppc platform if you know what your goal is, it’s realistic, have ran some maths on it (a simple spreadsheet will do), and you track all of your efforts.

The one thing with PPC is that’s it’s unforgiving. If you have a bad quality score, an untargeted ad or an offer that doesn’t convert… It doesn’t matter to the adwords, they’ll still take all your money and make it harder for you to succeed.

I am starting a pay per click advertising but I want to know who has the better record of bringing more customers and who has the overall better system. Bottom line, if you were to advertise your business, who would it be google or yahoo.

Google currently dominates the search engine business. If you can only afford advertising on one service, this would be the one you would have to go with if your good at ppc. However if your just getting started your probably better off working with Yahoo or MSN, simply because you don’t have to think about your quality score or jump through the may hops that Google will make you jump through.

Yahoo and MSN are second and third in size of market share. But I’m going to assume that you can’t afford 10,000 leads a day for example. This would costs you a lot. But you could get 100 leads a day and convert that into profit and work with a lot smaller budget.

Just be careful. It’s easy to spend a lot with Google. So much so that you literally go broke in your attempt to secure customers. Make sure you carefully place limits on how much you are willing to pay on any given day. Go slowly and grow your business as a pace that your can accommodate.

I’ve had the good fortune of having some successful businesses in the past and over the last year I’ve started yet another one and heard much about this program. Is it worth it? I know it’s a lot of time to really learn it and perfect it so I’d like to hear the pros and cons from you.

I would recommend purchasing the google adwords book from Perry MArshall (http://www.perrymarshall.com ). he has a lot of good tips in terms of google adwords.

Basically the premise is that your adwords need to attract the RIGHT audience. If you have a lot of rubbish viewers to your website, your monthly bill is going to turn into the thousands of dollars.

Peter Jones asked an interesting question the other day in an email. He asked”

“In Google, they have Google Adwords, what about Yahoo? I would like my ad show on the right hand side of the page (just like Google), when searcher type the keywords I choose to advertise my ad.”
